CENTURIES OF CRAFTSMANSHIP
In the heart of the Mediterranean there lies Tunisia, a small country of rolling hills and picturesque coastlines. It is there that, for over 300 years, the Lachaal family has carefully tended olive groves using traditional methods long abandoned in other regions of the world to produce an olive oil generations in the making.Â
TASTING NOTES
Domaine Lachaal extra virgin olive oil has a light, smooth exchange with the palate with a full bodied, robust finish. There are exciting nuances of green apple, almond, and artichoke that change by season. Our oil is great for everyday cooking: dipping, snacking, dressings, marinades, light sautéing and finishing.

MADE IN TUNISIA
Tunisia is the leading olive oil producing country in the southern Mediterranean region. On its eastern shore, the Lachaal family tends their groves with the same methods they have for centuries.Â
Each tree is treated with the utmost care and attention. When harvest season arrives, our growers climb handmade olive wood ladders and pick the olives by hand using hollowed-out horns placed on the fingertips to delicately comb the fruits from their branches. Our chemlali olives are picked at peak ripeness, lending their rich flavors to the distinct taste of our “Mature Harvest” offering. Â
Once our olives are inspected for quality they are cold-pressed within 24 hours to keep their complex flavor intact.
OUR BEGINNINGS
Dr. Mohsen Lachaal founded Domaine Lachaal in 1998 with the intent of bringing the traditions of his olive growing family in Tunisia to his home in Buffalo, NY. Six years after his death in 2010, Dr. Mo’s son took up his father’s quest and traveled to Tunisia, connecting with his family’s culture and learning every step in the process of olive oil production.Â
Now Brendan Lachaal and fellow Upstate New York natives John Ilacqua and Daniela Molta carry on the tradition, driven by their appreciation for fine craftsmanship and desire to bring the exquisite taste of Tunisia to the world.Â

SUSTAINABLY PRESSED
Our time-honored production methods reflect an appreciation for the land we rely on to bear the fruits of our labor. Much of the byproduct of our olive oil making process is reintroduced to the fields to support future growth. Our packaging, inspired by the patterns of Tunisian art, is entirely recyclable.Â
